Our journey begins with the indelible imprint of our ancestral roots. It traces back to our maternal great grandfather, Immanuel Rodriguez, who ventured from Spain to Puerto Rico late in the 19th century, carrying with him not just his dreams, but also a deep reverence for family and its sacred role in the natural world. On this foreign soil, as Immanuel tenderly nurtured the crops that fed his family, he instilled in his offspring a profound understanding of the interconnections between mankind and the environment, emphasizing the vital role we play in its continual creation.
Leo, his daughter, embraced his wisdom, and when she settled in the States, she intertwined the appreciation of Caribbean harvest with a passion for cooking the traditional fare of the States, always using fresh locally sourced ingredients, including fresh poultry from nearby farms.
Aliyah, Leo’s daughter, inherited this amalgamation of knowledge and further enriched it by emphasizing the significance of nutrition. She devoured books on the subject, gaining insights from individuals who resisted change, at a time when the art of handcrafted meals was swiftly becoming eclipsed by the rise of industrialized and fast food production.
Together, Leo and Aliyah, cultivated backyard vegetables, fruits, and chickens. They refined their American dishes to emphasize the use of fresh, wholesome ingredients, nurturing a continual reminder that our hands are the vessels through which our heritage is passed on. And they further instigated a familial legacy of future farmers who have today remained unwavering and resolute in upholding that sacred bond which Immanuel cultivated in us all.
As stewards of the earth, our mission is to celebrate its finest in the sustenance of mankind.
We promote nutrient-rich, bio-diverse soils capable of yielding nutrient-rich wild harvests that in like succession continue to impart to its consumers those regenerative qualities that prove resilient to the natural and sometimes even the unnatural fluctuations of everyday living.
By embracing the best of what the earth has to offer and by giving back as much as we receive from it, we are able to cultivate foods that are not only delectable for the soul but also nutritious for the mind and the body.
To savor life, not only by indulging in delectable, nourishing meals, but also in the way that wholesome food empowers us, is both a duty and a privilege for all men.
Our passion therefore is connecting people with the land, with regenerative agriculture, and with our growing selection of earth’s finest foods:
